lyrics

I moved my bed today, all by myself
see I don’t need stronger hands, mine are strong enough.
I pulled myself up from the ground
see I can do that all by myself now.

Well people come and go but I will always be here
as long as I will.. be here.
And can you see me through your foggy spectacles?
‘cause I suspect that you’ll run once they clear.

You’ll see that I’m not perfect
not here or anywhere.
Well let’s just get that straight
and see where we can go from there.

I moved my house today, up a steep hill
I bought a dolly and the Dalai Lama wished me well.
But he said I was neglecting the affections of others
“Well, Mr. Dalai Lama, they neglected me first!
And can you see me through your foggy spectacles?
‘cause I suspect that you’ll run once they clear.”

Well I burned a Tea Kettle, I burned it really good.
It was the electric kind, it had rubber on the bottom
but I put it on the burner, cause I didn’t see the difference.
It was my electric mind that somehow got distracted.

I moved my bed today, all by myself
it felt pretty good but I think next time I might ask for help.

You see that I’m not perfect
not here or anywhere.
Well I’ll just get that straight
and see where I can go.. no!
we’ll just get that straight
and see where we can go from there.
